Types of Therapy
Individual Therapy is the most common form of treatment. After an initial meeting, we decide together how often we should meet based on your needs, time availability, and comfort level. Most people begin by meeting once a week, or every other week. I generally utilize two different talk therapy approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). To learn about EMDR, click here to watch a video:
Sessions are available both in person and through telehealth. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $140.
I do not accept insurance, but you will be able to print a Superbill off my client portal and submit it to your insurance if you wish to do so. You will need to place a credit card on file, and complete all necessary paperwork, which will be emailed to you through the portal prior to our first meeting.
I am licensed in the state of New York, so am only able to provide counseling to clients living in NYS. As appropriate, I will consult with your PCP, OB/GYN, or other professionals.

Birth Trauma Group Workshop: Did you find your experience of bringing your child into this world to have been scary, upsetting or traumatizing? Do you constantly think about your child's birth date and feel sadness, disappointment, anger or anxiety? Was your baby placed into medical care that prevented you the early bonding process you desired? If you identify with any of these sentiments, you may find relief from joining this 3 part group workshop.
In this workshop, you will:
-Process your experience to understand how it impacted you emotionally. You will receive validation that you are not "overreacting" and that the outcome (your baby) does not negate what you went through or how you feel about it.
-Receive education about what trauma is, and how to cope with it
-Learn about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have the opportunity "re-write" your story in way that feels less upsetting.
Please reach out to find out about dates for this workshop.
Motherhood Support Group: The Motherhood Experience is an 8 week group which runs in sessions. The group is "closed," meaning, you will see the same participants each week for the 8 weeks. This group aims to provide normalcy and open conversations about topics such as intimacy, emotions, boundaries, bonding, identity, and much more. Babies are welcomed in group. Each session is 90 minutes, and $50 per week. You do not need to be an individual therapy client to join this group, but you will need to complete all intake paperwork before starting. Please contact me to learn about the next session if you are interested.
Groups are currently running in person.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, with a credential in Perinatal Mental Health. I absolutely love what I do. My passion for this niche of counseling was strongly fueled by my own struggle with Post Partum Depression. I learned from talking to others, my own research, and professional trainings that what I was experiencing happens- and it happens A LOT, to a lot of people. I learned I was not alone, and my goal is to provide you with that same comfort. I have worked as a community clinic therapist, inpatient social worker, clinical supervisor, site manager, and psychiatric evaluator, in addition to my current practice.
I have two children, ages 7 and 9. I am not a perfect mother. I love gardening, watching HGTV, and some reality shows that I am too embarrassed to name.
If you are scared or worried to start counseling, that is normal and it is okay.
Counseling is hard. It can be provoking and emotional. I will be with you every step of the way. You are not alone.
Please do not be frightened to reach out for help.
