Hi,
My name is Chelcy.
Chelcy Thomas, LMHC
For over a decade, I’ve worked as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and my heart is truly in supporting people through the perinatal journey. Across the many outpatient settings I’ve worked in, I’ve learned that I’m most fulfilled when helping clients move through big life transitions and reconnect with who they are—both within and beyond parenthood. I also have specialized training in yoga and somatic therapy, which can be especially helpful in rebuilding a gentle, trusting relationship with the body after experiences like fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, or the physical and emotional shifts of pregnancy and postpartum. Whether you’re grieving, trying to hold onto your sense of self in motherhood, or simply needing a steady place to process the overwhelm of daily life, I’m here to offer a warm, compassionate space where you don’t have to navigate any of it alone.
In my free time, I love getting outside and exploring nature, losing myself in a good fantasy book, and spending time with my wife and our very loved cat. We’re currently pursuing adoption and are so excited to begin our own parenthood journey. These personal experiences continue to deepen my appreciation for the many paths to building a family and the emotional landscape that comes with longing, hoping, waiting, and imagining life as a parent.

Hi, My Name is Jenny.
More Professionally: Jennifer Price, LMHC, PMH-C, IPPE-C
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Perinatal Mental Health Credential, International Partnership for Perinatal Excellence
.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, and I truly love the work I do. My passion for this field grew out of my own experience with postpartum depression. Through conversations with others, my own research, and professional training, I learned that what I went through is incredibly common. I discovered I wasn’t alone—and my hope is to offer you that same sense of understanding and relief.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a community clinic therapist, inpatient social worker, clinical supervisor, site manager, and psychiatric evaluator, in addition to running my current practice. Each role has shaped the way I show up for the people I support.
I’m also a parent of two children, ages 9 and 11. I’m not a perfect mother—none of us are—but I show up with love and honesty. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, learning about little pollinators, watching HGTV, and indulging in a few reality shows I won’t publicly admit to.
If you feel nervous or unsure about starting counseling, that’s completely normal. Beginning this process can feel intimidating, emotional, and deeply vulnerable. I will walk with you through every step. You don’t have to do any of this alone.
Please do not be frightened to reach out for help.

What to expect from therapy
Individual therapy is one of the core ways we support clients. Many people worry that therapy has to feel heavy or sad every time, but that’s a common misconception. Therapy is a flexible space—some sessions are deep and reflective, while others are practical, grounding, or even sprinkled with moments of relief and humor. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit, and you’re welcome to show up exactly as you are.
Your first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, talk about what’s bringing you in, and begin shaping the goals that matter most to you. From there, you and your therapist will decide together what pacing feels right—considering your needs, your schedule, and what helps you feel most supported. Many people start with weekly or biweekly sessions, but we’ll always tailor the rhythm to you.
Our clinicians draw from a range of evidence‑based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Several members of our team are also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective method for processing trauma and other distressing experiences.
Although our therapists have gathered years of experience treating concerns related to perinatal mental health, our work extends far beyond that. We support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity shifts, relationship stress, life transitions, and the everyday complexities of being human. Together, we’ll choose the approach that best fits your goals, your story, and your comfort.

Sessions are available both in person and through telehealth. We currently accept MVP, AETNA and CIGNA. Please inquire about your plan. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $140 out of pocket.

If you’d like to submit for out‑of‑network reimbursement, feel free to request a Superbill at any time. A superbill is simply a detailed receipt of your sessions — it includes the dates, the service provided, and the information insurance companies usually need if you choose to file a claim on your own. It’s not a bill from your insurance company, just a helpful document you can send in if you’re hoping to be reimbursed.
Our providers are licensed in the state of New York, so are only able to provide counseling to clients living in NYS. As appropriate, we will consult with your PCP, OB/GYN, or other professionals.
