Finding a therapist is kind of like dating- you might meet a few before you find "the one."

Hi, My Name is Jenny.
More Professionally: Jennifer Price, LMHC, PMH-C, IPPE-C
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Perinatal Mental Health Credential, International Partnership for Perinatal Excellence
.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health, and I truly love the work I do. My passion for this field grew out of my own experience with postpartum depression. Through conversations with others, my own research, and professional training, I learned that what I went through is incredibly common. I discovered I wasn’t alone—and my hope is to offer you that same sense of understanding and relief.
Over the years, I’ve worked as a community clinic therapist, inpatient social worker, clinical supervisor, site manager, and psychiatric evaluator, in addition to running my current practice. Each role has shaped the way I show up for the people I support.
I’m also a parent of two children, ages 9 and 11. I’m not a perfect mother—none of us are—but I show up with love and honesty. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, watching HGTV, and indulging in a few reality shows I won’t publicly admit to.
If you feel nervous or unsure about starting counseling, that’s completely normal. Beginning this process can feel intimidating, emotional, and deeply vulnerable. I will walk with you through every step. You don’t have to do any of this alone.
Please do not be frightened to reach out for help.

Types of Therapy
Individual therapy is one of the most common and effective forms of support we offer. After an initial meeting, you and your therapist will decide together how often to meet—based on your needs, availability, and comfort level. Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, but we’ll tailor the schedule to fit you.
Our team draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Several of our clinicians are also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful method for processing trauma and distressing experiences. Please see the video below to learn more:
Sessions are available both in person and through telehealth. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost $140.

We currently accept AETNA and CIGNA. Please inquire about your plan.

You will be able to print a Superbill off the client portal and submit it to your insurance if you wish to do so. You will need to place a credit card on file, and complete all necessary paperwork, which will be emailed to you through the portal prior to your first meeting.
Our providers are licensed in the state of New York, so are only able to provide counseling to clients living in NYS. As appropriate, we will consult with your PCP, OB/GYN, or other professionals.

Birth Trauma Group Workshop: Did you find your experience of bringing your child into this world to have been scary, upsetting or traumatizing? Do you constantly think about your child's birth date and feel sadness, disappointment, anger or anxiety? Was your baby placed into medical care that prevented you the early bonding process you desired? If you identify with any of these sentiments, you may find relief from joining this 3 part group workshop.
In this workshop, you will:
-Process your experience to understand how it impacted you emotionally. You will receive validation that you are not "overreacting" and that the outcome (your baby) does not negate what you went through or how you feel about it.
-Receive education about what trauma is, and how to cope with it
-Learn about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and have the opportunity "re-write" your story in way that feels less upsetting.
Please reach out to find out about dates for this workshop.
Motherhood Support Group: The Motherhood Experience is an 8 week group which runs in sessions. The group is "closed," meaning, you will see the same participants each week for the 8 weeks. This group aims to provide normalcy and open conversations about topics such as intimacy, emotions, boundaries, bonding, identity, and much more. Babies are welcomed in group. Each session is 90 minutes, and $50 per week. You do not need to be an individual therapy client to join this group, but you will need to complete all intake paperwork before starting. Please contact us to learn about the next session if you are interested.
Groups are currently running in person.
